
For My Children
Welcome to St John Children’s Ministries. We provide a safe and loving environment as we teach the children how much Jesus loves them and they in turn can share to love of Jesus with others around them.
We want to partner with families to help equip and provide resources for them to raise their children in the faith.
Ongoing Opportunities:
Sunday School
Sunday mornings at 10:30am – 11:30am
Classes for:
Threes through Kindergarten
1st and 2nd Grade
3rd through 5th Grade
Join us each Sunday morning as we gather in Grace Place and then go over to the Sanctuary for an opening of singing and a short object lesson and then off to our various classes.
Wednesday Nights:
On His Stage – Children’s Drama Team
The Children rehearse and then present a short skit once a month in the Sunday morning service.
Wednesdays at 6pm – 6:45pm
Ages 3rd – 6th grade
Seasonal Activities:
Christmas Eve Family Service – Dec 24th at 3pm
Princess Party – January 2017
Vacation Bible School – June or July 2018

For My Youth
Our goal is to create a safe and interactive environment where you can learn more about yourself (your passions, gifts and abilities), connect with others (students and adults) and to continue to share and grow in your faith.
On-Going Opportunities to Grow and Serve:
Sunday School Morning Bible Class
10:30am – Begins with a short opening – Grades 6th -12th
Then they divide up with separate discussions …
6th – 8th grade Topic
9th -12th grade Topic
The Scene Youth Drama Team
This group presents short skits in worship on a once a month basis
Wednesday Night Rehearsals - Wednesday nights from 6:45pm-7:30pm
With Other Adults
Volunteer
God has equipped every single person which gifts which can be used to build up others in the Body of Christ (the Church). Although we have a few people who are called to serve as staff people at St. John, we cannot exist without people using those gifts to volunteer in their areas of passion. These may include in the areas of:
Worship Ministry – Usher, Greeter, Altar, Tech person (more)
Music Ministry – Instrumentalist, choir, vocalist, drama (more)
Education – Teaching/Assisting with Adults, Youth, Children (more)
Meals Ministry – Potlucks, dinners, funerals, special events (more)
Office Help – Graphic Arts, Working on Mailings, Receptionist (more)

The St. John Lutheran Women in Mission are part of the national Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, an official auxiliary of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
Join us in one of our ongoing efforts:

Quilting for Lutheran World Relief (LWR) with the Square Cutters each month

Supporting Interfaith Ministries with focused collections in the Fall and food donations year-round; providing a meal for their clients one Sunday in September

MITE box donations to support LWML mission grants worldwide

Collecting personal care items and funds each May for the Military Women shoebox project

Managing and supporting the prayer chain ministry for St. John
We meet monthly (except December, July & August) in the COC room (next to the business office),
first Thursday, 6:30 pm (fellowship time available 30 minutes before and after)
