How Do I...
Join the St. John Family
We ask every adult who wants to become part of the St. John Church family to attend a class we call: “Connections.”
This class meets over several weeks and includes a review of the basics of the Christian faith, an opportunity to meet several of the staff of St. John, make some new friends, and discover how God has prepared and SHAPED you to make a difference in this world.
If you’d like more information about the Connections Class, or to register for the next session, contact Jim Webb at jim.webb@stjohnocala.org or call him at extension 2010.
Get Involved
Although St. John is far from a “mega-church,” we are still large enough that the best way to “feel at home” is to get involved. You can do this in a variety of ways including:
Volunteer
We always have many opportunities to serve at St John. From seasonal events like Christmas Events or VBS to weekly volunteer positions such as worship team or Sunday school teachers and more, volunteering is a great way to share your gifts with the church and meet new people! To see a list of current volunteer opportunities, visit our Volunteer page.
Bible Studies
Being a part of a weekly Bible study is a great way to stay in God's Word while staying connected with others. We offer an Adult Bible Classes each weekend and also have other Adult, Men's and Women's Bible studies throughout the week. Check out our Bible study page for current offerings.
Ministry Groups
From Men's or Women’s Ministries to an amazing choir, bells, drama teams and more, there are lots of groups to join! For a full list of our ministries and contact information, please visit our Ministries page.
